Jonathan Kiritharan will be making a queen-sized bed out of pancakes during this event to spoken-word and musical performances. He is an artist focusing on the themes of the unconscious self and the heat death of the universe. He involves food as a performative medium to transform spaces and the concepts of nuture, pleasure and necessity associated with food and consumption.

He is an artist focusing on the themes of the unconscious self and the heat death of the universe. He involves food as a performative medium to transform spaces and the concepts of nurture, pleasure, and necessity associated with food and consumption.
This event was purposely not as advertised in the big medium studio east tour.

Arriving at the venue the viewer is presented with a number of forms to fill out and told that they would receive access to the real show once those forms were filled out. The viewer would be able to hear (sizzle) and smell the song and presence of pancakes as well as the illusion of a large crowd (soundboard) and the babble and banter of Jonathan from behind the sheet in the kitchen.

The viewer never got to see the creation of the pancake bed because one never existed nor was it supposed to exist.
